The Judah Upper Route is currently Closed.

Judah Upper Route

The Upper Judah Route can be reached by bootpacking up along the Summit Chair lift line. You may also exit the Sugar Bowl boundary through the Flower Ridge Gate, gain the east-side ridge, and then continue to the summit before reentering the resort. This route will remain closed after any storm until avalanche mitigation is completed in the Judah Bowl zone. When it is closed, guests may not enter the terrain—regardless of whether they approach from inside the resort or from the backcountry.

Uphill Policy

Uphill use of the resort and its surrounding areas by means of skinning has gained popularity at Sugar Bowl. Skiers and riders must review, agree to and sign the Uphill Use Policy before traveling uphill at Sugar Bowl Resort, and abide by the rules and regulations established by Sugar Bowl and USFS when accessing the resort both during and after operating hours. Due to increased participation of uphill travel at Sugar Bowl, access will be limited to Uphill ticket purchasers, Uphill passholders and Sugar Bowl downhill passholders.

Participants may purchase an Uphill Only ticket or season pass online. At that time, you will review and complete the Uphill Use Policy.

The Judah Lower Route is currently Closed.

Judah Lower Route

Paid guests may ascend starting at Lower Coldstream, to Tunnel 41, to Buena Vista.

Non-ticketed, non-passholder guests may enter Forest Service Lands from the SnoPark parking at the top of Donner Summit. Enter the resort boundary by crossing Pacific Crest Trail and up Tunnel 41, to Buena Vista.

Uphill use of the resort and its surrounding areas by means of skinning has gained popularity at Sugar Bowl. Skiers and riders must review, agree to and sign the Uphill Use Policy before traveling uphill at Sugar Bowl Resort, and abide by the rules and regulations established by Sugar Bowl and USFS when accessing the resort both during and after operating hours. Due to increased participation of uphill travel at Sugar Bowl, access will be limited to Uphill ticket purchasers, Uphill passholders and Sugar Bowl downhill passholders.

Participants may purchase an Uphill Only ticket or season pass online. At that time, you will review and complete the Uphill Use Policy.

The Mt. Lincoln Route is currently Closed.

Mt. Lincoln Route

From the Village, proceed up Union Street, to Silver Belt Run Out, to Cat Walk*, to Henderson’s Bowl, to California Street, to Crowley’s Traverse** (the easiest way down).

• *Do not ascend straight up Silver Belt Run Out, stay to the left and utilize Cat Walk to avoid downhill traffic.
• **Do not summit via the last pitch of Lakeview.

From the Village, proceed up Disney Return, to Disney Traverse*, to Disney Meadow, to Disney Traverse (the easiest way down)**.

• *Do not proceed up Overland.
• **Do not enter the Crow's terrain, if gate is closed.
