Express Pass

Lift lines rarely exceed 5 minutes at Sugar Bowl, but the Homeowner Express lines come in handy when they do. Villagers and their guests are invited to use the exclusive Express Pass lane to cruise to the front of any lift line, any time.

One of the oldest ski resorts in California, Sugar Bowl has a storied past with ties to Austrian ski culture, Hollywood and Walt Disney. This special place helped bring skiing to “sunny California,” was home to the state’s first chairlift, and the west’s first ski gondola. Today, Sugar Bowl continues to attract adventurous winter sports enthusiasts who are drawn to the incredible terrain and authentic, community-based experience only offered here.

The largest cross-country ski area in North America, Royal Gorge is known for its sweeping views of the Northern Sierra and eight distinct trail systems. Featuring 92 trails with over 140km of groomed, tracked trails for human-powered outdoor recreation spread across 6,000 acres, guests of all ages and ability levels are invited to try classic cross-country skiing, skate skiing and snowshoeing. Nine different warming huts offer respite from the elements and a chance to take a break and soak in the peaceful tranquility of the mountains. Make your way to Royal Gorge to stride through towering pines, expansive meadows, and enjoy stunning vistas that include some of the most majestic peaks in Tahoe.
