Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy
Founded in 1998 by Tricia Hellman Gibbs, a former member of the U.S. Ski Team and graduate of Williams College, the Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy is dedicated to the healthy, joyful growth of passionate skiers: mind, body and spirit. Following in the footsteps of her father, Warren Hellman, who founded Stratton Mountain School in Vermont, Tricia had a vision of developing a world-class junior ski program and academy on the West Coast located at the base of Sugar Bowl Resort.
The Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that encompasses both the Sugar Bowl Ski Team and Sugar Bowl Academy. While the Sugar Bowl Ski Team Foundation works closely with Sugar Bowl Resort to produce the very best programs, they are two separate institutions.
