Welcome to Sugar Bowl!
Looking for where to progress next? We have some recommendations below based on where you may be with your ability level. From green circle terrain to double black diamond chutes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy on our mountain.
Green Circle
Just getting started? There’s a great learning area at White Pine near the Main Lodge. Once you’ve mastered the Flume Moving Carpet and the White Pine Lift, try a longer green circle run like Pioneer Trail off of Jerome Hill Express.
Blue Square
Looking to move beyond the bunny hill?
Explore the runs off Mt. Judah Express and Jerome Hill Express. Coldstream is the perfect wide run with a mellow pitch for you to practice linking your turns. To get there take a left once you upload from Mt. Judah Epress, then follow Buena Vista to find Coldstream.
Alternativly, there’s a lot of fun to be had off of the Disney Traverse. To access, ride the express chair to the top of Mt Disney (yes, it’s really named after that Disney. He was an early investor in the resort.) Once at the top, head skier’s left. The further left you go, the more mellow the terrain. Follow the traverse all the way back to the Disney Express or challenge yourself with a steeper blue square run like Pony Express or Montgomery.
Orange Oval
Looking for terrain parks?
Most of our terrain parks can be accessed via the Christmas Tree Express (medium/large features) or Nob Hill(x-small/small features). With a variety of progression-minded features for beginner to advanced, there’s something for to fit your style.
Black Diamond
Feeling like you are ready for more advanced terrain?
If it’s a powder day, secret stashes off of Mt Lincoln abound. We won’t give away our favorite lines just yet, but Vanderbilt is very accessible and a great place to dip your toes in. And Steamer's off of Jerome Hill Express is a short run to provide some challenge without getting in too deep. If you want a STEEP groomer, watch for when the East Face of Disney gets groomed. It’s the longest sustained pitch in the resort and we’re still in awe that the winch cat can handle it!
