Gateway Mountain Center: Summer Camp Update

Hello Friends,

As the weather warms and restrictions lift, we here at Gateway Mountain Center are getting increasingly excited about our awesome summer camps! We are particularly attuned to the fact that our youth need the restoring gift that nature and challenge brings, especially after enduring “stay at home” orders this spring. In order to ease your concerns, due the uncertainty caused by COVID-19, we have changed our refund policy so that you can receive a full refund up until two weeks from the start of camp! In addition, we have extended the discounted rate for Camp Sugar Bowl registration for an extra month, until June 1st. We hope that you find these changes encouraging.

Currently we are making preparations to run our camps with the best “COVID-Compliant” practices recommended by the ACA (American Camps Association) and the ACN (Association of Camp Nurses). We will also have a Medical Director onsite to help with screenings, emergencies, and enacting all of the “covid compliant” guidelines.
We will be making final decisions to cancel any camp 4-6 weeks out from their start date. As with everything COVID-19 related, our ability to run camps is dependent on state restrictions being eased and our ability to run a safe camp in compliance with local, state and federal guidelines. Safety, have no doubt, is our primary concern.
