Truckee Trails Foundation is a committed group of community-minded people focused on the development of a local trail and bikeway system. Our goal is to connect people and places, reduce dependence on automobiles and improve physical, social, and environmental health for the community.

We work closely with the Truckee Trails & Bikeways Master Plan approved by the Town of Truckee in 2002 which sets out a network of trails and bikeways linking the town. Through partnerships with people and organizations, private and public, we identify trail locations and alignments for connectivity of the ultimate system. We serve as a trail’s advocate for the community and we also host trail building and maintenance days.

We believe that creating a connected community with safe earthen and paved trails, usable by walkers, hikers, wheelchairs, and riders will improve the quality of life in our community, making it a desirable place to live, work and visit.
