Located at the base of Mt. Judah with a full line ski, high performance ski and Burton snowboards rental equipment. This location is open 7 days week. Head to the Mt. Judah Rental Shop for General Admission.

Village Rental Shop - (530) 426-9000 Ext 7503
Located up the hill from the Village Lodge and to the left of the Nob Hill Chair, the shop offers ski and snowboard rental equipment as well as full tuning and repair services.

The Den - (530) 426-6772
The Den is located adjacent to the White Pine beginner lift. The center offers a central location for all children's programs including lift tickets, equipment rentals and half or full day supervised learning programs and activities. The Den is open Friday through Sundays & holidays. Please note that only children’s rental equipment is available at The Den. Adults should go to the Judah Lodge for all rental equipment needs.

We are a certified Burton Learn to Ride Center
All shops have a great selection of Volkl and Rossignol shaped skis along with Burton snowboards. Ski packages include skis, boots and poles. Snowboard packages include board and boots. Helmet rentals are available for all ages.

We have the most innovative program in the area to save money on your Rental equipment and we call it General Admission.

Do you rent Helmets?

Yes. We offer a variety of helmets on a first come first serve basis. Helmets are required for Children’s Learning Programs (ages 12 & under). You may also purchase a helmet at any of our Retail Locations.

How long does the Rental process take?
On average it will take about 30 minutes to complete the Rental process and be out on the snow. If you are taking lessons, arrive at least an hour before your scheduled lesson time.

Can I reserve Equipment?
Yes, by going to our online store, you can preregister and reserve rentals in advance, however we do not preset the equipment.

Can I exchange my ski rental to try snowboarding?
Yes you can exchange your ski or snowboard rental. There maybe a price adjustment.

Can I pick up my equipment at one location and return it at another?
Yes you can return your equipment at any of our mountain rental locations.

What time does half day equipment rental start?
Half day rental pricing starts at noon. Half day lift tickets begin at 12:30 PM.

What time do I need to return my equipment by so I’m not charged for an additional day?
Our rental shops close at 5 PM daily. You may also return your equipment the following morning before 9 AM and not be charged for an additional day.

If I’m renting equipment for multiple days, what do I do with my equipment at night?
For your convenience we offer complimentary rental equipment night ski check at out Judah rental shop. Simply drop off your equipment and pick them up in the morning.

We need to acquire some important data in order to get you set up on your gear. If you are renting equipment for the first time, then you either need to head to a Customer Sign-In Station at the resort or register online before arriving. If you are a Season or Daily Pass holder, then you are already registered and may simply proceed directly to one of our cashiers upon arrival.

Customers under the age of 18, who are visiting Sugar Bowl without a parent or guardian, need to present this rental from on the day of visit and your minor must be pre-registered online with a credit card on file.

Rental Process at The Resort:

1. Head to a Customer Sign-in and enter all of your billing info as well as your height, weight, age, and shoe size to fit your rental equipment.
2. Go to the cashier to pay for your equipment & lift ticket.
3. Proceed to the boot station & we'll get you a great pair of boots that fit your feet.
4. Next go to the ski and board stations, we will size and adjust your skis or board.
5. Skiers can then go to the pole section & we'll fit you with the correct length of pole.
6. Head out to the mountain & enjoy your day or take a FREE 2 hour group lesson on a General Admission Day (ages 13-69).

Rental Process Online First Time Customers:

1. Create an online account. You'll need to set up a username and password in order to save your rental profile.
2. Click "My Account"
3. Click "Rental Setting". Update your profile and save.
4. Minors under the age of 18 who are not accompanied by a parent or guardian will need to present this form with a signature on the day of your visit.
5. Upon arrival head to the cashier for payment for your equipment & lift ticket.
