3 Convenient Locations On the Mountain

All locations are open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.

• Returning guests are pre-registered.
• Lift ticket, lesson and rental packages available at all 3 locations.
• All Renters get Free overnight Rental Equipment storage.(pick up by 11AM the following day or you may be charged $5)
• CORE members may store their personal equipment (skis, poles and boots) overnight free until 11AM the following morning.
• $5 all day access Basket Check (Judah Rentals and Mountain Sports Learning Center).
• Day Lockers (Judah Day Lodge, Village Rentals and Village Lodge).

All shops have a great selection of Rossignol shaped skis along with Burton and Rossignol snowboards. Ski packages include skis, boots and poles. Snowboard packages include board and boots. We are now a certified Burton Learn to Ride Ladies Center.

Photo ID and Credit Card are required for all equipment rentals.

The Main Lodge at Mt. Judah
Located at the base of Mt. Judah with a full line ski and snowboard rental equipment. We also offer a diverse line of performance skis to choose from. Step out the door at the base of Mt. Judah.

Village Rental Shop
Located up the hill from the Village Lodge and to the left of the Nob Hill Chair, the shop offers ski and snowboard rental equipment, and repair services.

The Den
The Den is located adjacent to the White Pine beginner lift offers one stop children’s learning programs including lift ticket, equipment rental and half or full day supervised learning programs and activities. The Den is open on weekends & holidays.
Please call (530) 426-6700. Please note that only children’s rental equipment is available at The Den. Adults should go to Judah Lodge for all rental equipment needs.

Summit Snowboard & Ski
We are located directly off of the I-80 Soda Springs/Norden Exit. Look for us just past the gas station above the Summit Restaurant. Please call us at (530) 426-7692.

Do you rent Helmets?

Yes. We offer a variety of helmets, available on a first come basis. Helmets are required for Children’s Learning Programs. You may also purchase a helmet at any of our Retail Locations.

How long does the Rental process take?
On average it will take about 30 minutes to complete the Rental process and be out on the snow. If you are taking lessons, arrive at least an hour before your scheduled lesson time.

Can I reserve Equipment?
We do not offer equipment holds or reservations.

Can I exchange my ski rental to try snowboarding?
Yes you can exchange your ski or snowboard rental. There maybe a price adjustment.

Can I pick up my equipment at one location and return it at another?
Yes you can return your equipment at any of our Mountain rental locations.

What time does half day equipment rental start?
Half day rental pricing starts at noon. Half day lift tickets begin at 12:30 PM.

What time do I need to return my equipment by so I’m not charged for an additional day?
Our rental shops close at 5 PM daily. You may also return your equipment the following morning before 9 AM and not be charged for an additional day.

If I’m renting equipment for multiple days, what do I do with my equipment at night?
For your convenience we offer complimentary rental equipment night ski check at out Judah rental shop. Simply drop off your equipment (your boots will spend their night on a boot dryer) and pick them up in the morning.

Information pre-registration is a convenient tool to speed up the rental process at Sugar Bowl by allowing us to input your data into our system. Please note that pre-registering your information in our system does not reserve any equipment for you, it is simply provided to help get you out on the slopes quicker.

How to pre-register your information with us:

• Open, or download and open, the PDF version of the Sugar Bowl Rental Information Pre-Registration Form by using the link at the bottom of the page.

• Type in all the data the form requires you to enter.

• Once you have entered all the data, print a copy of the form, sign the form on the appropriate line (if you are under 18 a guardian will need to sign the form on the bottom line) and fax it to 530-426-6725.

Please note:

• The form needs to be faxed to us at least 24 hours before you arrive to rent equipment, otherwise there will not be enough time to process your registration.

• Pre-registering your information with us does not reserve any equipment; we therefore recommend that you come in early on potentially busy days to avoid disappointment.

What to do when you get to Sugarbowl:

Head into any one of the three rental shops, head straight up to the cashiers at the registers and let them know that you pre-registered your information with us. They’ll pull up your information, print your forms and send you on your way to a great day of fun at Sugar Bowl!

For 10 years Burton has worked with resorts around the world to offer the Learn To Ride program. Burton Learn To Ride provides learners with gear designed to enhance their experience as well as teaching methods to make for an enjoyable and successful first day. Our equipment for beginners is tailored by gender and age to maximize each individual's learning potential. Take a lesson at our Learn To Ride center you’ll be hooked for life.

Sugar Bowl Learn To Ride Women’s Center creates a comfortable learning atmosphere by having female-only groups. We discovered that women are more supportive when working together and can cross barriers to help them succeed. We partner this concept with our women’s specific learning gear that’s designed around the female anatomy to make learning easier. Women around the globe are finding success with their first day on a snowboard, which turns into a lifetime of riding fun.
