Uphill use of the resort and its surrounding areas by means of skinning, snowshoeing, hiking, and running have gained popularity at Sugar Bowl. Skiers and riders must review, agree to and sign the Uphill Use Policy before traveling uphill at Sugar Bowl Resort, and abide by the rules and regulations established by Sugar Bowl and USFS when accessing the resort both during and after operating hours.

Sugar Bowl is proud to now operate Royal Gorge Cross Country, North America's largest XC resort, boasting 200km of groomed trails across 6,000 acres of pristine terrain atop majestic Donner Summit, seamlessly connected with Sugar Bowl Resort and America's only snowbound Village.

Do you rent Helmets?
Yes. We offer a variety of helmets on a first come first serve basis at $10. Helmets are recommended for Children's Learning Programs (ages 12 & under). You may also purchase a helmet at any of our Retail Locations.
How long does the Rental process take?
On average it will take about 30 minutes to complete the Rental process and be out on the snow. If you are taking lessons, arrive at least an hour before your scheduled lesson time.
Can I exchange my ski rental to try snowboarding?
Yes you can exchange your ski or snowboard rental. There maybe a price adjustment.
Can I pick up my equipment at one location and return it at another?
Yes you can return your equipment at any of our mountain rental locations.
What time does half day equipment rental start?
Half day rental pricing starts at noon. Half day lift tickets begin at 12:30 PM.
What time do I need to return my equipment by so I'm not charged for an additional day?
Our rental shops close at 5 PM daily. You may also return your equipment the following morning before 9 AM and not be charged for an additional day.
If I'm renting equipment for multiple days, what do I do with my equipment at night?
For your convenience we offer complimentary rental equipment night ski check at out Judah rental shop. Simply drop off your equipment and pick them up in the morning.
