This year at Sugar Bowl, you will find more value in your lift ticket purchase. The resort is offering a FREE basic gear rental and a two hour lesson (of any level) with the purchase of a lift ticket, ages 13-69. This officer is valid Monday-Friday non-holiday. Holiday dates: 12/26/08-1/1/09, 1/16-18/09 and 2/14-18/09.

This is your chance to learn a new winter sport, tune up on your powder skiing or riding, or learn how to ride a skier cross course, all with the purchase of your all day lift ticket. Season pass holders may up grade for $50 for the gear rental and two hour lesson.

First Turns
Sugar Bowl offers a fast track program for the beginner to intermediate. The First Turns Program will set you on your way to simple parallel turns or connecting your snowboarding turns. Mike Iman, Director of Sugar Bowl’s Mountain Sports Learning Center, has refined every element of the learning program over the years to make it simple and fun. The main premise behind the First Turns program is that learning to ski or snowboard should be easy and enjoyable every time. The instructors always make fun the number one priority.

The “First Turns” lesson package includes a two-hour group lesson, rental equipment and a lift ticket good on all but the most advanced lifts and terrain park. The First Turns package is priced at $95 for ages 13-69.

Sugar Bowl grooms up to 40% of the mountain daily to ensure beginners, intermediates and cruising enthusiasts have a dedicated place to ski and ride.

Sugar Bowl Ski Resort, in operation since 1939, is located on Tahoe’s Donner Summit just 3 miles off I-80.
