If want to escape into the pristine and untouched wilderness beyond the peak of Mt. Judah but just don't know your way around or want to learn how to use Alpine Touring gear and develop basic route-finding techniques and learn about basic safety practices for out of bounds skiing then NASTC's one day backcountry adventure is for you. Departing out of Sugar Bowl Ski Area, NASTC's AMGA and UIAGM certified guides will take you on a backcountry excursion amidst the Donner Summit Wilderness where you will witness unforgettable vistas and ski lots of fresh lines.

(This excursion is not a replacement for an avalanche safety course, if you decide that skiing in the backcountry is for you we strongly encourage you to take an AIARE certified avalanche safety course.)
